Wilkinson's Inc. Withdraws Del Monte Fresh Produce 56-ounce Fruit Trays

ST. LOUIS - Wilkinson's, Inc. has announced a voluntary precautionary withdrawal of two batches of Del Monte Fresh Produce 56-ounce fruit trays because there is a possibility that a 1/8" x 1/8" small plastic piece from the tray may become dislodged from the tray and may be found within the packaged product. Del Monte Fresh Produce N.A., Inc. supplies Schnucks and Logli stores with fresh cut fruit in the Wilkinson packaging and the fruit is marketed under the Del Monte brand.

There has been only one reported incident, but as a precautionary measure, all 56-ounce fruit trays with the following code numbers are subject to the voluntary withdrawal:

Sell-by Dates: 5-6-07 and 5-8-07

Schnucks and Logli customers in Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, Iowa, Tennessee and Mississippi may return the specified product to their nearest Schnucks or Logli for a full refund.
