Hartz Mountain Corporation Recalls Hartz Vitamin Care For Cats

 

            ST. LOUIS – Hartz Mountain Corporation has issued an urgent product recall on one specific lot of Hartz Vitamin Care for Cats.  The recall was initiated when independent testing by the FDA revealed the presence of Salmonella in the affected lot.

            Cat owners are encouraged to check for the item with UPC: 0-32700-97701 and Lot # SZ-16371.

            Cat symptoms of Salmonella may include fever, diarrhea, abdominal pain and nausea.  Owners of cats exhibiting these symptoms should seek veterinary assistance.

            This product is carried only at the following nine Schnucks and Logli stores.  Customers of those stores are urged to return the product to the place of purchase for a full refund or exchange.
