Walker’s Food Products Company Recalls Four Bean Salad Sold on Schnucks and Logli Food Bars

Consumers are warned not to use any of the product, even if it does not look or smell spoiled, bought on or before Feb. 22, 2008 at Schnucks and Logli stores. Customers should discard any of the product or return it to their nearest store for a full refund.
On Feb. 22, 2008, Schnucks received word from the product’s distributor that there was a potential concern and immediately pulled the product from all stores. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced the recall on Feb. 28, 2008.
No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with this problem. Botulism can cause the following symptoms: general weakness, dizziness, double vision, and trouble with speaking or swallowing. Difficulty in breathing weakness of muscles, abdominal distension and constipation may also be common symptoms. People experiencing these problems should seek immediate medical attention.
