Quaker Oats Company Recalls Aunt Jemima Pancake Mixes

 

            The Quaker Oats Company has issued a recall on Aunt Jemima Pancake Mixes with specific “best before” date information because the product may have potential Salmonella contamination.

            Customers are urged to check for the following products all in a 2-lb. box:

 

Aunt Jemima Original

Best Before Dates:  Feb 08 09; Feb 09 09

 

Aunt Jemima Buttermilk Complete

            Salmonella is a food borne illness that can cause infection in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems.  Symptoms can include fever, diarrhea nausea, vomiting and abdominal pain.

            Schnucks and Logli customers in Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, Iowa, Tennessee and Mississippi may return the specified products to their nearest store for a full refund or exchange.
