Program Schedule and Location InformationOur Schnuck's H1N1 Vaccination Clinics Schedule For January 2010 has been posted! Click Here to check out the Clinic Schedule below. Program AnnoucementThis announcement coincides with the Center for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC’s) latest projection of a third wave of H1N1 flu to hit after the holidays. Schnucks Vice President of Pharmacy Mike Juergensmeyer says, “Our pharmacies are providing the vaccine as a service and charging $15 per shot to cover administrative costs including the costs of bringing in Test-med Vaccination Services nurses.” Juergensmeyer adds the nurses will enable the pharmacies to extend their services and vaccinate children as young as three years of age. “Our clinics are also good news for parents of older children who were vaccinated in earlier rounds and were unable to secure a booster.” Juergensmeyer added, “Through a series of shipments over the next few days, each clinic will have supplies of both the live and inactivated (recommended for women who are pregnant or nursing) virus on hand and will administer while supplies last.” “Many families across the metro area have been waiting a long time for this shot,” said Juergensmeyer. “Schnucks Pharmacies are pleased to be able to partner with health agencies in order to help protect the community from the H1N1 flu.” For additional information, visit the CDC online at www.cdc.gov/h1n1flu. |
