10,000-Square-Foot Addition With More "Presents" To Come
ST. LOUIS -- The Schnucks at 2712 Godfrey Road in Godfrey, Ill., is

remodeled store featuring new and expanded departments. A new
10,000-square-foot addition opened June 29 and is part of a major
remodeling of the store which is making excellent progress on its way
to completion this fall. The addition features a European market
environment with an exposed structure ceiling and market cart displays
and includes an expanded produce department, a new nutrition department
and an expanded video department. The deli department was expanded
substantially and relocated to the new addition and now features hot
and cold carry-out items. The seafood department also was expanded and
relocated to this section.
Customers also will find a new parking lot with new lighting, a
newly-painted exterior and a new roof.
Work is now beginning on the rest of the millennium "present" -- the
remodel of the remaining 42,000 square feet. What formerly was the
produce section will be remodeled to include a wider variety of grocery
and general merchandise products. A new floral department is being
added. The dairy and frozen food departments will be expanded. The
pharmacy will be remodeled and expanded and will feature a greater
