Schnucks and Logli Pull Meat Products Recalled by Bar-S Foods Co.

ST. LOUIS - Schnuck Markets, Inc. has pulled four meat products from its shelves produced by Bar-S Foods Co. The products are among 14.5 million pounds of luncheon meats, hams, sausages, hot dogs and corn dogs voluntarily recalled by Bar-S Foods, Clinton, Okla., due to possible contamination with Listeria monocytogenes.

Affected products that were carried by some Schnucks and Logli stores include:

Bar-S Spiced Luncheon Loaf, 2.5-pound (40-oz.) package.

Bar-S Cotto Salami, 2.5-pound (40-oz.) package.

Bar-S Bologna, 2.5-pound (40-oz.) package.

Chuck Wagon Hot Links, 3-pound (48-oz.) package.

Products bear code "EST 471" or "EST P-471" inside the USDA seal of inspection. Products were produced prior to March 30, 2001 and are marked "USE BY JUNE 07 01" or earlier.

Customers with recalled products can obtain refunds from the Customer Service Desk at the Schnucks or Logli store where they were purchased.
