Weight Watchers Picks the Potato as Its First Pick of the Season

ST. LOUIS - Schnucks Markets is proud to announce that it is a participating retailer for the Weight Watchers Pick of the Season program. The Weight Watchers Pick of the Season program is a new effort by Weight Watchers to educate the public about the importance of eating fruits and vegetables. Schnucks is supporting the program to ensure that consumers have all the facts they need to ensure a healthy diet, tailored to their needs. Weight Watchers chose the potato as its first Season's pick because potatoes are a good choice when losing or managing weight. For example, did you know potatoes are an excellent source of vitamin C and potassium?

As a participating retailer in the Weight Watchers Pick of the Season program, Schnucks will feature a Weight Watchers brochure called, "The Truth About Carbs," in the produce department as well as copies of "The Healthy Potato" brochure, filled with fresh new potato recipes. These educational materials are now available at all Schnucks stores.
