ST. LOUIS - The finishing touches now are being put on the extensive remodel of the Schnucks Concord Village store located at 5434 Southfield Center in south St. Louis County.
Several departments in the 52,000-square-foot have been upgraded, expanded and remodeled. Customers immediately will notice the modern "Marketplace" décor and the floral department now located at the entry.
In the perishable departments, new produce cases were added and the food bar was replaced. For customer convenience, the bakery department was converted to a self-service department, and a new hot foods case was added to the deli department.
The dairy, and meat departments received new refrigerated cases while the frozen food department was expanded and also received new cases.
The pharmacy has been expanded into the former video section, and HBC items have been relocated next to the upgraded pharmacy, which has allowed for the addition of two more aisles of grocery products.
Both the Grocery and General Merchandise departments have been reconfigured for maximum efficiency and the cold beer and wine department has been moved and expanded.
"Our new décor is the same package being used in all the new Schnucks stores where it has proven to be popular with customers," said Store Manager John Sander. "Concord Village has been redesigned with service and convenience options that will enhance every shopping experience. We are already hearing great things from our loyal shoppers, and we hope to attract many new customers in the months to come."
