MICHIGAN FIRM RECALLS FRANKS DUE TO UNDECLARED ALLERGENS

EVANSVILLE, Ind. - According to USDA, ConAgra Foods, a Quincy, Michigan firm, is voluntarily recalling a limited run of jumbo franks due to an undeclared allergen (milk). The recall affects retailers in seven states and may include three Schnuck stores in Evansville, Indiana (Evansville East, North and Newburgh stores only).

The recall includes 16-ounce vacuum packages of "ECKHRICH JUMBO FRANKS MADE WITH TURKEY, PORK." Each bears the Establishment # 1941; Lot Code #3F;

Manufacturers Code; 0549082306 and a sell by date of "August 23, 2006"

Schnucks customers may return the specified product to their Schnucks store for a full refund. Consumers with questions about the recall should contact call the 24-hour Information Line at 1-866-344-6833.
