Schnucks Announces Major Moves In Finance/Accounting Departments

ST. LOUIS - Todd Schnuck, executive vice president for Schnuck Markets, Inc., today announced two promotions and two additions to the company's Finance and Accounting departments.

Gary Meyer, CPA, 58, has been named vice president of finance reporting to Todd Schnuck. He previously served as vice president and treasurer and has been with Schnucks for 28 years. Meyer has a bachelor of science in business administration from University of Missouri - St. Louis and master's degree in accounting from St. Louis University. Meyer and his wife, Jan, reside in Oakville, Mo.

David Bell, CFA, 39, has been promoted to treasurer reporting to Gary Meyer. Bell joined Schnucks in 1984, and his most recent position was director of financial planning and assistant treasurer. Bell earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from the University of Missouri - St. Louis and a master's from Washington University. Bell and his wife, DeAnn, have three children and reside in University City, Mo.

Steve Hinderberger, CPA, 52, has joined Schnucks as controller reporting to Todd Schnuck and replacing Lori Caster who recently accepted the position of group vice president of grocery, dairy and frozen foods. Hinderberger spent 27 years with The May Department Stores Co. His most recent position with May was as vice president of planning and analysis. In joining Schnucks, Hinderberger will oversee the accounting department. He earned a degree in accounting and graduated Magna Cum Laude from St. Louis University. Steve and his wife, Ann, have three children. The family resides in Sunset Hills, Mo.

Ryan Cuba, 38, has accepted the position of director of financial planning and budgeting reporting to Gary Meyer. His most recent position was vice president of capital planning and analysis for The May Department Stores Co. In his new position, he will be responsible for all financial modeling and the budget process at Schnucks. Cuba received a bachelor of science degree from University of Missouri - Columbia and his MBA from St. Louis University. Ryan and Cynthia Cuba and their three children reside in Chesterfield, Mo.

Founded in St. Louis in 1939, Schnuck Markets, Inc. currently operates 102 stores (including five Logli stores) and 99 pharmacies in Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, Tennessee, Mississippi and Iowa.
