Schnucks Introduces Internet Special Order Service
Customers can now order an additional 40,000 hard-to-find items
St. Louis-based Schnuck Markets, Inc. has teamed up with Eye Level Solutions, an on-line specialty foods channel, to significantly expand product offerings for customers who are testing exotic new recipes or simply building their cooking skills. Now, when visiting SOS at www.schnucks.com, customers are only a click away to thousands of novel food items typically not carried at their traditional grocery store.
Schnucks Director of Marketing Services Larry Maggio says in addition to the unusual products, SOS will offer an expanded variety of international, organic and kosher foods. "Schnucks stores have an extensive offering ranging from basic foods to the unusual, but we still get the occasional question about an exotic ingredient or a product that has a small distribution," said Maggio. "You'll find about 10,000 items that can be ordered in a single unit, and though the "Request It" feature, an additional 30,000 products can be purchased by the case.
Maggio says that there is no membership fee; however, there is a $2.50 shopping fee for orders less than $25. Shipping is provided by UPS at their standard rates. Orders can be paid for by using Visa, MasterCard or American Express.
