Remodel Nears Completion at
Customers will enjoy a new fuel center and many additional features and amenities
Upon completion customers will notice a whole host of new offerings and services that are hallmarks of the new Schnucks prototype. Store Manager Doug Himelick says, "For all practical purposes, we've got a brand new store! Our store has been completely revamped with service and convenience options that will enhance every customer's shopping experience." He added, "We anticipate that the new olive bar, soup kiosk and sushi bar will be very popular."
Perhaps the most noticeable addition is the new Kaldi's Coffee bar, opening July
30. In addition to Kaldi's brand coffee,
the bar will serve espresso drinks, frozen blended coffee drinks and fruit
smoothies. St. Louis-based Kaldi's
roasts and blends more than 40 coffees and expressos for their own coffeehouses
and for specialty markets, restaurants, coffeehouses, grocery stores,
universities and offices in the
Himelick says, "Customers will be able to pair their coffee with Schnucks donuts, muffins and scones - all prepared fresh daily." He added, "Final installations are underway for Wi-Fi capabilities in a seating area perfect for study groups."
The deli will feature a new Sandwich Express made-to-order sandwich bar where patrons can create their own specialty sandwich or choose from several popular menu options.
Adding to the one-stop shopping experience, a Schnucks Express fuel center with 12 fueling stations will open later this summer. "Now, our customers can save time by filling up their gas tanks before or after grocery shopping. The Schnucks Express will also stock basic items for convenience shoppers," said Himelick.
