UFCW Local 655 and Greater St. Louis Food Employers Council Reach Tentative Agreement

ST. LOUIS – A tentative agreement has been reached on a new contract covering more than 9,500 members of United Food & Commercial Workers Local 655 employed at Dierbergs, Schnucks and Shop ‘N Save bargaining jointly as the Greater St. Louis Food Employers Council.

No details are being released. The current 47-month contract expired May 13. The union has been working on a day-to-day extension of the previous agreement while talks continued.

Contract ratification meetings for Local 655’s members are tentatively set for September 5; times and location will be announced as soon as they are determined.

The tentative agreement was reached with the assistance of the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service.
