Schnucks Selling
CDs to Benefit St.
Louis BackStoppers
ST. LOUIS - All 64 St.
Louis Metropolitan area Schnucks
stores are selling a special music CD in which 100% of sales will go to the BackStoppers. For $20,
music lovers will not only receive "Someone
To Watch Over Me: The BackStoppers Project"
CD with music donated by several local artists, they will also provide support
for the families of firefighters, police officers and EMTs
who sacrifice their lives in the line of duty.
Customers
can find the CD display at the customer service desk at each Schnucks store with
music from many local favorites including Ralph
Butler, Anita Rosamond,
Mark Christoper,
Denice Thimes,
Jim Manley, Jeanne Trevor and several more.
In addition
to all sales going to the BackStoppers, all proceeds
will be matched dollar for dollar during the ongoing David Pratt $1,000,000
Challenge Gift Campaign.
Founded in
1959, the BackStoppers is a
non-profit association of civic-minded men and women in the St.
Louis area and neighboring counties in Missouri
and Illinois. Their mission is to provide support and
financial assistance to the spouses and children of all local and county police
officers, firefighters, publicly-funded paramedics and EMTS and volunteer fire
