Normal, Ill. Schnucks Recalls Ground Beef and Select Loaded Burgers Sold Between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. on July 20
NORMAL, Ill. – Schnuck Markets, Inc. has issued a recall on all ground beef and select “Loaded Burgers” sold between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Tuesday, July 20 at its Normal, Ill. store at 1750 Bradford Lane (61761).
Just before 6 p.m. this evening, a meat clerk noticed damage to the grinder which could have resulted in metal shavings in the grind. A store representative says that there were approximately 82 packages of ground beef sold in that time period. Also sold and possibly affected were one Bacon Cheddar and two Monterey Jack Loaded Burgers.
Any Normal Schnucks customer who purchased the ground beef or loaded burgers between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Tuesday, July 20 should return the product for a full refund or exchange.
This is an isolated incident and no other stores are involved in this recall. This is a precautionary measure and there have been no customer reports.
