Schnucks Statement Regarding Chamberlain Farms Cantaloupe Recall

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration today announced a recall of cantaloupes from Chamberlain Farms of Owensville, Ind. due to possible Salmonella typhimurium contamination.

Following concerns raised by regulatory agencies, on Aug. 16, Schnucks removed all cantaloupes grown in southwest Indiana (including Chamberlain Farms) as a precaution.

All cantaloupes currently being sourced by Schnucks come from California.
