Parkers Farm Recalls Bucky Badger Cheese Cups from Janesville, Wis. Schnucks
Products may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes
Coon Rapids, Minn.-based Parkers Farm, Inc. is recalling several Bucky Badger Cheese Cups from the Janesville, Wis. Schnucks store (1501 Creston Park Drive) because the products may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes – uncommon but potentially serious bacteria. To date, there have not been any reports of illness associated with any of Parkers Farm food products.
Schnucks Janesville customers are urged to check for the following products:
Bucky Badger Bacon Cheese Cup
Bucky Badger Port Wine Cheese Cup
Bucky Bader Sharp Cheddar Cheese Cup
Bucky Badger Garlic Cheese Cup
Customers may return any unused product to Schnucks Janesville for a full refund.
Consumption of food contaminated with listeria monocytogenes can cause listeriosis, an uncommon but potentially serious disease. Its symptoms include fever, severe headache, neck stiffness and nausea. Infants, the elderly and those with weakened immune systems are at greater risk. The disease also can lead to miscarriages and stillbirths in pregnant women.
