Precision Foods Inc. Recalls Land O Lakes International Drinking Cocoa “Madagascar Vanilla”

Product may be contaminated with Salmonella

Precision Foods, Inc. is recalling certain Land O Lakes International Drinking Cocoa “Madagascar Vanilla” as a precaution given that the potential exists that the product may be contaminated with Salmonella.  This recall is secondary to the Plainview Milk Products recall.  Although the cocoa has not been found to contain Salmonella and no illnesses have been reported, as a precaution, production and distribution has been suspended while the FDA and the company continue their investigation.

Customers at select Schnucks stores (see list below) are urged to check for the 12.5-ounce foil bag with UPC: 8-78326-00071 and a “Best By” date of 09/04/10 or 11/05/10.
