Schnucks Ups the Ante in QualityVille Game

One lucky participant will win up to $25,000

 

ST. LOUIS – The response to St. Louis-based Schnuck Markets’ “Schnucks QualityVille™” interactive game has been unprecedented.  A little more than a month through the promotion and the 14 “Peace of Mind Quality” videos to learn about the high quality products customers can find at their local Schnucks and Logli stores have been watched more than 100,000 times.  At the conclusion of the promotion in July, one lucky participant will take home the grand prize.

 

According to Schnucks Vice President of Marketing Bob Howard, the grocer has decided to sweeten the pot.  “After originally starting with $5,000, we’ve decided to add another $5,000 to the total.  On top of that, add $1 for every Schnucks ‘Like’ on Facebook (up to 15,000 ‘Likes’ and a total of $25,000)!” Howard said.  “Participants can visit Schnucks’ Facebook page at www.facebook.com/schnucks.

 

Howard says that customers seem to be really excited about the contest as Schnucks Facebook likes are quickly nearing 4,000.

 

Schnucks QualityVille™ is a multi-media game designed to appeal to digital-age shoppers who want to learn more about the food they eat.  The eight-week program launched on May 9, 2011 and runs through July 3, 2011.

 

Players register by visiting www.schnucks.com and clicking on the QualityVille™ banner.  “You earn your first entry just by registering,” Howard explained.  “Once registered, players earn additional entries by watching a series of short video clips.  Each video viewed to completion is worth at least one entry into the Grand Prize drawing with a chance to earn bonus entries that are randomly revealed when the video is finished.  Everyone who watches all 14 clips will receive, via email, a coupon for $10 off their next $50 purchase at Schnucks.”

 

There is no purchase necessary to play Schnucks QualityVille™.  Players must be 18 or older to play.  Grand Prize drawing will take place on or about July 23, 2011.  While the nation is invited to visit Qualityville, only grocery shoppers within the markets currently served by Schnucks and Logli, as determined by zip code, are eligible to play and earn prizes.  Schnucks teammates and their immediate family members are not eligible.  (Please see additional rules and restrictions when visiting the game site.)
