New Schnucks Pharmacy Offers Bring Relief to Family Budgets
ST. LOUIS – As families struggle with rising costs in virtually every line of their household budgets, Schnucks Pharmacies continues to work to bring relief. Now, in addition to the FREE generic oral antibiotics program, starting Friday, June 27, Schnucks Pharmacy customers will receive additional prescription savings on more than 300 commonly-prescribed generic drugs.
The new offers include $4 generics for up to a 30-day supply and $10 for a 90-day supply. Across the Midwest, Schnucks Pharmacies are the only pharmacies to offer three savings opportunities on medications to treat a variety of ailments including high blood pressure, arthritis, asthma, cholesterol, diabetes and allergies.
Schnucks Vice President of Pharmacy Michael Juergensmeyer said, “We have been strategizing for months on how we might offer savings significant enough to help offset rising costs and enhance the one-stop shopping experience for our customers.”
“Back in October, Schnucks became the first chain to offer customers a 21-day supply of any one of more than 50 generic oral antibiotics at no charge,” Juergensmeyer said. “We’ve been able to significantly strengthen the program by bringing many more medications in through our own distribution center. This has enabled us to cut supply chain costs and pass those savings on to our customers.”
Schnucks has long been committed to finding ways to make healthcare and medicines more accessible to customers both in terms of convenient locations and cost. Accessibility, doctors say, is critical to consistent and comprehensive family healthcare.
Juergensmeyer added, “Schnucks is committed to making family health and wellness a major priority. We recognize that as a major pharmacy operation with multiple store locations, we are in a good position to make affordable medications more accessible to customers in all markets we serve.”
Just as with the “Free” oral antibiotic program, there is no required purchase, no coupon and no insurance needed to make use of these special offers. However, if a customer’s insurance dictates a lower price than $4 for a 30-supply or $10 for a 90-day supply, they will receive the prescription at the lower price.
Customers with questions about which generic drugs qualify should check with their local Schnucks pharmacist or online at www.schnucks.com.
